This is the Worst Carpet Colour To Get When You Have a Dog

Dogs are great. However, the messes they make aren't as great. If you are deciding to install carpet or are getting a dog there are carpet colours you should avoid. Puppies are especially difficult to since they need training. Here are several carpets to avoid.

Green
Having green carpet is a bad idea. It mimics the colour of grass. Dogs learn to associate green with grass and this is where they do their business. If your dog needs to do their business when they can't be let out of the house they will go for the carpet.

Yellow or Beige
The main problem with these colours and any light coloured carpet is that it shows dirt. Asides from doing their business on the carpet, dogs can trek in muddy paws and possible grass stains. These are quite difficult to remove from the carpet.

Shag Carpet
Shag carpet is problematic because of its long pile. The main problem is that this type of carpet can this trap dirt and fur deep within it. Puppies are also playful and love pulling on things such as long carpet pile.
