Some trick and hints to clean your bathtub.

Some trick and hints to clean your bathtub.

After a long day of work, some people want to just come home, relax and just soak in the bathtub. When you see a dirty bathtub, even after a long day you probably won't want to get in it. These bathtubs usually attract soap scum, mildew, and grime. The biggest thing it attracts is those pesky stains. Luckily with a few simple ingredients you can make your bathtub look new again.

Firstly, just some basic maintenance. After taking a bath or a shower, rinse the actual tub with warm water, and wipe away the excess moisture with a squeegee cloth.

If you want a deeper clean, pull out the handy dandy white vinegar. Fill a spray bottle with half vinegar and half water. Spray the whole tub surface and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Take a microfiber cloth and just rub it down. Rinse the tub with water again and it should look very clean.

To remove tougher stains, make a paste, which includes half hydrogen peroxide and half baking soda. Rub the paste on the stain and let is sit there for 30 minutes and then wipe away and rinse. If the stain is not fully gone you can repeat the process.

When treating rust stains, you can use a paste of borax powder and some lemon juice. Sprinkle the stain with borax juice and then use the half of the lemon to wipe of the powder off the stain. Keep rubbing until it turns into a paste. Let the paste stand for about 15 minutes and then wipe and rinse.

How to clean Tile and Grout (DIY Cleaning)

Even with regular shower wall scrubbing, mopping, countertop cleaning, tiles get dirty regardless. We have a homemade grout cleaning solution that if done properly will prove to be a great fix. The solution is a follows:
  • Half a cup of white vinegar
  • Half a cup of dish soap
  • Heat the cup of vinegar for one minute and then pour in the dish soap
  • Apply to grout lines
  • Let it sit for a few minutes
  • Wipe off with a wet cloth

This is a no scrub solution but, the best one before that. It helps lift up the dirt thanks to the acidic powers of vinegar. The dish soap helps get it slimy and easy to take off. One exception is that this solution cannot be used with natural stone because it may damage it. Before using this solution test it in a small area where it isn't that noticeable to make sure that it works properly. By following these steps it should make your grout and tile lines clean and looking nice. If you have any questions about cleaning your tiles and grout it is always recommended to call a trained technician.
