Once mold has started growing in the carpet, there is no way to thoroughly remove it. Even if you clean the visible area it can grow again.
Car Grease
Exhaust, car oil and other car related products are next to impossible to remove. The oil based residue is tough to remove and isn't worth the cost of carpet cleaning. It's easier to remove the carpet.
